How to replace Excel inventory with visual maps

Migrating from flat spreadsheets to dynamic visual plans is easy. This guide helps your team shift to real-time maps without losing history or disrupting operations.

Step 1: Export spreadsheet rows

Download your tracking spreadsheet as a CSV file. Ensure you have clean headers representing visual visual IDs (such as Plot 01, Rack A-12, Room 104).

Step 2: Initialize your MapBhoomi project

Log in, create a project, and import your CSV. MapBhoomi will automatically generate inventory database records matching your spreadsheet units.

Step 3: Overlay layouts

Upload your layout blueprint. Using Map Studio, link your imported database units to visual coordinates on the blueprint image by drawing vector shapes.

Step 4: Roll out to your sales team

Decommission the old spreadsheet. Give sales agents access to the project workspace. Agents can update unit status directly on their mobile screens while presenting layouts to customers.
